Dan Jones Catalog SS2010
’Gender’ and ’limit’ are two concepts that are generally worn together.
But why should everybody wear the same outfit?
Dan Jones challenges the system with various tools of the imagination.
"I like the idea of having pieces that either a male or a female could wear."
Dan’s collection is a provocative and alluring take on the rules of sexual boundaries. In a world that is dominated by gender specific collections and faux-pas’ a plenty, here is a collection that’s only criteria is ’human’.
Dan’s label is a collection of androgynous garments that flatter the wearer- regardless of gender. However, Dan’s incentive concerns not what a body has on but what lies underneath the surface of the person.
"I’m obsessed with nudity."
Dan graduated from FBI Fashion College and has gained experience in the industry from some of Australia’s biggest names in fashion.

With an initial interest in entertainment designing, Dan discovered that fashion is where his visions lay.
Dan’s mesh singlets and fitted pants offer one side of a contrasting spectrum. With voluptuous gowns and shift dresses at the opposite end, Dan’s indecisiveness on what is attractive becomes fashion foreplay. Who says you can’t have both?

"My collection is very sensual but manipulative."
The SS 2010 collection contains pieces that are simple cut with the quality of being locally manufactured. Ostrich feathers, silk satin, rayon jersey, metallic knits, glass beads, and sequins are a few of the wide variety of materials sourced by the designer.
A Dan Jones wearer is outrageous! And a confident individual. They move to their own beat. Music is a key aesthetic to Dan who takes his inspiration from visuals in his world around him.
...even though it may only be a brief moment.
